The Novel Readers reading group meet at the Farmers Arms in Ulverston at 10.30am on the last Friday in the month. We originally operated with 12 members but found this unwieldly and now limit membership to 10. We are currently full.

We are not limited to reading novels despite the name. This came about when the group started and we met at the Novel Cafe which was opposite Woolworths in Ulverston, now Tescos.

In September, each member gets to nominate 2 books for the following year. This gives Carlisle Library (Cumbria Libraries) 8 spares in case more than one group has nominated a specific title.
