The Italian Improvers Group meets weekly for ninety minutes in the home of our organisers, Martin and Anthea, who have a long affinity with Italy and familiarity with the language, through family living there. We are a small sociable Group, whose members have varying levels beyond beginners level. We aim principally to enhance conversational ability through informal chats, playing entertaining YouTube clips and reading suitable short stories or other short texts which generate points of vocabulary and grammar. The Group also meets occasionally in the home of a member, to watch an Italian film and enjoy a pizza and a glass of wine. Martin and Anthea will very much welcome enquiries from anyone wanting to build on a modest foundation in the language, and thereby make their next visit to bella Italia all the more enjoyable.
