The Folk Club now meet on the 4th and 5th Thursdays of the month at Pennington Memorial Hall, 2pm - 4pm, £2 including a cuppa. On the 4th Thursdays we have group singing from a repertoire of about 30 songs and individuals read poems/monologues and give solo singing/instrumental performances.  I hasten to add that none of this is compulsory. The fifth Thursdays are for instrumental sessions only (jigs, reels, waltzes etc. but no singing).  However, no one is excluded.  If you can't play an instrument then come along and listen or you may like to join the percussion section.  We have plenty of percussive instruments to share..
