Bookworms is a Barrow-based reading group with the emphasis on enjoyment. As a group of twelve we reflect differing tastes, with the aim of trying out new authors/subjects which we may not have chosen as individuals.
Meetings are on the first Monday of the month and are held in the County Library Archives, Ramsden Square, Barrow, at 4.30 until 6.00 p.m. The Library Service delivers and collects our selection monthly.
A brief summary of each book can be found at Cumbria Libraries following the link for reading groups. An interesting newsletter is also on-line there. Descriptions can be found on other websites, e.g. Amazon. This all helps us with the selection of titles and can provoke lively discussions.
